Program Information

Senior Centers offers a variety of programs - educational to recreational, arts and crafts to dance, and even computer labs! Individual facilities' sites provide more in-depth information about the many programs offered by the Senior Centers.

Senior Centers offers Evidence-Based programs that are designed to encourage people to take more control of their health. We offer a Stanford University program entitled, "Chronic Disease Self Management" and a falls prevention program entitled" A Matter of Balance". There is a small registration fee of $5.00; classes meet once a week for six weeks for the Chronic Disease (CDSMP) and one a week for eight weeks for the Matter of Balance (MOB) program.

  • Blood pressure checks are done in all three sites at least weekly. Check with the individual site for more details.

  • Exercise facilities are offered at all locations, some more structured than others. Check with the individual site to determine what facility would be best for you.

  • Both the Senior Life & Wellness Club and the VSP Club offer computer classes. Check with the individual site for more details.

  • Group Dining is offered five days per week, excluding holidays, at the Pacolet and Senior Life & Wellness Club; and three days per week at the VSP Club.

  • We partner with a variety of professional organizations to provide quality health and nutrition programs. Check the Monthly Calendar for specific program details.

  • Ever thought about sharing your knowledge with a child? If so, you can become a Child Mentor at the VSP Club in Chesnee.

  • Senior Centers offers transportation through Spartanburg Regional Hospital System to and from Pacolet and Senior Life and Wellness Club.
